Once upon a time, in a small village named Rosewind, lived a young boy named Nathan. Nathan was an ordinary boy with an extraordinary love for books. He was always seen with a book in his hand, reading under the shade of a tree, by the river, or in his small room. His friends often teased him, "Nathan, why do you waste your time reading so many books? Come, let's play."
One day, a wise old man visited their village. He was known for his knowledge and wisdom. He announced a challenge for all the children in the village. The challenge was to solve a riddle. The one who could solve it would get a chance to travel with him around the world.
The riddle was, "I speak without a mouth and hear without ears. I have no body, but I come alive with the wind. What am I?" The children thought hard, but none could solve the riddle. They played with their toys, ran around the fields, but the answer eluded them.
Nathan, however, remembered reading about such riddles in one of his books. He immediately knew the answer. He approached the old man and said, "The answer is an echo."
The old man was pleased and applauded Nathan for his knowledge. True to his word, he took Nathan on a journey around the world. Nathan saw places he had only read about in his books. He met new people, learned about different cultures, and his knowledge grew even more.
When they returned, Nathan shared his experiences and learnings with his friends. They were amazed and realized the importance of reading and learning. From that day, they too started reading books and learning new things.
And so, the story of Nathan teaches us that "The more that you read, the more things you will know. The more that you learn, the more places you’ll go."
